by means of introduction

so i've been thinking about blogging for a while now and am finally making time for it. yay! i love reading other people's blogs...they are so interesting, inspiring and telling of what they are thinking about at the moment. i've been thinking about some things as well and would like to share them and see what you think...feedback would be great!

i'm kind of curious as to how this whole blogging phenomenon got started. is it just based on a need to express? as far as i'm aware this kind of thing hasn't been done in any other time period...like medival peasants tacking up notes on their doors?, "so the pig got away from me today and i made a bunch of stew and the king is raising taxes again...," somehow i don't think so. anyway, i think it's really cool that we have access to this kind of communication now...it helps make the world seem closer somehow...more accessible and maybe in ways less lonely as it provides a way to see what others are going through and is a pseudo-means of doing life together.

oh, and in explanation to the name "mango squirrel" (and i'll totally admit that it's an odd name), first the "squirrel" part, for those who know me choosing this name is rather obvious, i think squirrels are hilarious animals that seem to exude a personality of spunk and humor and for the "mango" part i find mangos refreshing, bright and energizing. and since i've had run-ins with both squirrels and mangoes recently the name "mango squirrel" was birthed.:) so hopefully this blog will boil down to be thought-provoking, refreshing and humorous.:)

so i'm excited to start this adventure in blogging...here we go!:)
