lmnop

i've been trying to read a lot more this summer and just finished my first book, Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn. the book is an engaging, quick read about an island country that holds language in the highest regard, as the founder of the island was the man who invented the phrase "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" which uses all 26 letters of the english alphabet. trouble arises when the island government bans the use of certain letters of the alphabet, until only a few remain. intriguing ideas about government, language, and taking things a bit too far. great summer read!
